About Frost Mountain Nordic
Based out of the Rikert Outdoor Center in Ripton, VT, Frost Mountain Nordic is dedicated to fostering a vibrant community united by a passion for cross-country skiing. Our mission is to create an environment that fosters a lifelong love for the sport, where individuals of all ages and abilities feel welcome and empowered to pursue excellence in competitive skiing or simply revel in the joys of recreational skiing. We aim to cultivate the next generation of cross-country skiers through inclusive coaching and programming, from beginners in our BKL program to high school athletes aspiring for collegiate racing, and competitive greatness.
We are supported by a small but dedicated staff and network of community volunteers who share our commitment to accessibility, inclusivity, and fun, ensuring that Frost Mountain Nordic is a hub of camaraderie, ski culture, and inspiration.
FMN supports multiple programs including the Frost Mountain Nordic Bill Koch League, which is housed within the New England Bill Koch League (NEBKL). NEBKL is the largest cross-country ski program for young people in grades K-8 in the United States. The mission of the BKL is to introduce young people to the lifelong sport of cross-country skiing, and the many associated health, fitness, and social benefits, in a fun, inclusive, and safe environment. NEBKL is administered by New England Nordic Ski Association (NENSA), the umbrella organization for nordic skiing events in the northeast region.
